NEWS: Anderson Silva Signs 15 Fight Deal

It was announced last Thursday that former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will continue to delight UFC fans for another fifteen fights as laid out by UFC President Dana White and owner Lorenzo Fertitta. The first of these events will be against Nick Diaz at UFC 183 in January 2015. In addition to this bit of news Silva announced that his business partnership with Nike has officially ended as he picks up a new sponsorship deal with Adidas. TRAIN HERE: TITLE BOXING [JACKSONVILLE.FL]

TITLE BOXING in Jacksonville is a franchise owned gym who’s main focus is on boxing but also incorporates training and techniques from kick boxing and muay thai. The gym is stacked with great trainers who practice their skills on either a professional or semi-pro level. While the gym teaches you great basics in a group setting, the environment is not that of a true “Fighters Gym”. However, it is a great place to get into shape utilizing the basics of boxing and kick boxing during the gym’s “power hour” where participants in the training program go through a fifteen minute warmup consisting of burpees, squats, lunges, shadow boxing, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, and push ups. After the initial warmup there is eight rounds on the heavy bags where instructors call out combination shots and the participants excute them. In-between rounds there is an active recovery period of a minute where the participants do lunges, pushups, stretches, or sit ups. On occasion trainers will pull participants aside to work on focus-mit drills. toward the end of the training program there is a fifteen minute non-stop core workout that will make most people cry. North Florida is New Home of House Of Fame MMA

Exciting news has reached the First Coast. The House Of Fame MMA (HOF) promotion has recently made Jacksonville FL it’s home market. What does that mean? MMA fans in north Florida now have an exciting new promotion to follow and watch locally, a promotion that has some well known UFC fighters competing in it’s ranks. The newly established MMA promotion will feature fighters such as Thiago Alves, Jorge Masvidal, and Hector Lombard. TITLE is another company known for it’s products related to combat sports, but most people tend to think of specifically boxing apparel when the name comes up. TITLE also makes a great deal of MMA gear as well. I have recently purchased MMA shorts, training bag, and short sleeve rash guard. The gear is tough and will with stand wear and tear while not breaking your bank. The bag is great I can fit focus mitts, shin guards, head gear, sparring gloves, training shoes, water bottle, and essentially any other training gear I may need into the bag. When I bought it however, it did not come with a shoulder strap so I used one from an older duffle bag. Still a great deal at under $40. The rash guard and shorts together were about another $80, but still not bad for something that will get a lot of use.
